Clark Marine is looking to hire the right candidate to work 30-50 hours per week, depending on the time of year. Our regular business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday, and 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturday. (We are also closed on Mondays until the end of February.) This position may be needed to help out at the occasional boat show and other special events outside these hours.

Clark Marine has been serving boaters in Central Maine since 1958. We are a small, locally owned company. We value employee education and training to build and maintain a strong team. We are looking for a long term relationship with you.

This position will primarily be assisting with AR, AP, sales paperwork, answering phones, interacting with customers. The Office Assistant will also work very closely with the Bookkeeping, Sales, Parts, Service, and Marketing Departments. We are a small business and everyone is cross-trained to assist as needed, while still focusing on our primary position, to enable us to function better as a team.

We are looking to find someone who is interested in sticking around and growing their responsibility as an Office Assistant. This position will have good starting pay; the right candidate should earn in excess of $25,000.00 during their first full year of employment.

Clark Marine Job Description: Monmouth Team Leader

Job Title: Monmouth Team Leader

Department: Monmouth Facility Service Department

DUTIES:

o Oversee the actions of all members of the Monmouth Service Team

o Oversee the flow of work in the Monmouth Service Progress.

o Oversee the transfer of all services orders following our visual work space process.

o Oversee proper documentation on service orders.

o Maintaining a clean and organized service order area.

o Oversee inventory levels of general service items, request and restock as needed.

o Coordinating needed repair parts transfers from Manchester to Monmouth facility.

o Fill in gaps in the service process as needed to keep on pace.

o Facility representative for walk in and incoming phone calls.

o Contribute to the dealerships profitability.

ANSWERS TO:

o Primary; Report to the Director of Service.

o Secondary; Report to the Manchester Service Manager.


SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

o Should have exceptional organizational skills.

o Should have exceptional communication skills.

o Basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Excel and Word Programs.

o Knowing how to run a tractor is not a must but is a positive.

o Should possess a Maine state driver’s license in good standing.

o Should have reliable transportation.


RELATIONSHIPS:

Job Title: One Entry Level Service Technician

Job Title: One Mid Level Service Technician

Full Time Year Round Positions.

Department: Service Department

DUTIES:

o Perform scheduled maintenance/repairs on boats brought to the dealership for service.

o Assist the Service Manager in carrying out the daily duties of the service department.

o Follow all set dealership processes in the service and repair portion of the dealership set out in the service Procedures Process Map.

o Responsible for validating/collecting customer product identification numbers and documenting on the work order.

o Maintaining a clean service area.

o Contribute to the dealerships profitability.


ANSWERS TO:

o Report Directly to Service Manager


SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

o Should have basic knowledge of two stroke and four stroke engine technologies

o Should own a basic set of hand tools, screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and socket sets.

o Should be able to read and comprehend a manufacturer service manual.

o Should have basic computer skills.

o Should possess a Maine State Drivers License in good standing.

o Should have reliable transportation.


RELATIONSHIPS:

o Maintain a close working relationship with Service Manager.

o Maintain a close working relationship with Parts Personnel and Service Writers

o Maintaining communication with service customers if questions arise during the service process of their property.

o On occasion, communicate directly with Insurance Auditors on customer damage claims.

o Maintain effective working relationships with other company employees.

Job Title: Service Department Admin / Data Entry

Full Time Year Round Position.

Department: Manchester/Monmouth Service Department

DUTIES:

o Responsible for the accurate completion of service orders.

o Responsible for communicating with all technicians, transferring their notes onto specific work order tasks creating a clear and understandable explanation of services rendered to the customer on each service order.

o Responsible for technician time tracking on all service orders.

o Responsible for applying all parts to be billed to the appropriate repair orders/tasks with accurate quantity and pricing for completion of invoice.

o Assist in overseeing the paperwork flow in the service department in relation to our visual work space.

o Work in unison with the service manager in communicating with service customers.

o Assist in acquiring parts and needed accessories in advance and/or in time through the proper channels for ongoing services.

o Perform any reasonable related tasks requested by the Service Manager / Ownership.

o Contribute to the dealerships profitability.


ANSWERS TO:

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS;

o Should have good computer / keyboard skills.
