A/C Milfoil Project

Clark Marine will be donating $100.00 from the proceeds of every boat package purchased from them during this years boat show season.

The funds will go directly to the Friends Of The Cobbossee Watershed (FOCW) to assist them in their efforts to eradicate Variable Leaf Milfoil from Annabessacook Lake before it reaches Lake Cobbosseecontee.

During the summer of 2017 4000 gallons of the invasive plant was removed from Annabessacook Lake in a joint venture between the Friends Group and the State of Maine DEP. It is now 2018 and the FOCW are on their own to continue this battle against the invasive plant.

Like any other worthwhile projects this is going to take time, great effort, and money. the Friends have started a capitol fund raising campaign to raise $250,000.00 over the next three years specifically for this project.

The goal for the short term is to aggressively reduce the size of the known outbreaks. Longer term is to stay on task and eradicate the plant completely. it is imperative that they are successful in their efforts so that the infestation does not work its way down Judd stream and into Lake Cobbosseecontee which is the next lake in the chain.

You need not purchase a boat from us to have a donation made in your name. This is just what we are doing. All donations of any amount are graciously accepted.

Can you assist us in helping the friends of the Cobbossee Watershed perform their needed work?
