The Barge is Gone! What’s Next for Clark Marine?
After many great seasons in the dock business, Clark Marine is officially stepping away from dock sales and installation. This decision didn’t come lightly—but as our business grows, so does our focus. We’re grateful for the years spent building, installing, and maintaining docks for our customers across Central Maine, but our sights are now set on doing more of what we do best—and doing it better than ever.
Concentrating Our Focus
Our team has always believed that great businesses grow not just by adding more, but by refining what they already do best. For Clark Marine, that means investing even deeper into:
- Service and maintenance capacity
- Outboard repowers (we’re now Maine’s Freshwater Repower Center!)
- Pontoon and fishing boat sales from leading brands like Avalon, Crestliner
By narrowing our focus, we’re able to deliver an even higher level of expertise and customer care in these key areas.
Passing the Torch—Locally
Even as we step away from dock installations, we want to make sure our loyal customers are well taken care of. That’s why we were very intentional about who we sold our dock barge to.
We’re proud to share that the new owner is Ryan Masse of Maine Dock and Lift Services—a local professional we trust. Ryan shares our commitment to quality and customer service, and we’re confident that he’ll continue to serve our customers with the same care and reliability that Clark Marine has become known for.

Still Anchored in Moorings
We’re not completely leaving the waterfront! Clark Marine will continue to design and install moorings—and we’re planning to grow this part of our operation. We genuinely believe our in-house mooring systems are the best on the market, offering long-term stability, performance, and peace of mind for boaters.
Innovation at the Dock
As part of our ongoing commitment to making boating easier and more enjoyable, Clark Marine is also partnering with Docked™, the innovative pontoon docking guide system. Docked helps boaters park perfectly every time—keeping your pontoon stable, secure, and stress-free at the dock. It’s just one of the many ways we’re evolving to help our customers spend less time worrying and more time enjoying the water.
