Fall might mean the end of another boating season in Maine, but if you’re thinking about a new boat or repowering the one you already own, September is bringing some of the strongest manufacturer programs we’ve seen this year.
Right now, Suzuki, Mercury, and Crestliner all have active promotions that can put money back in your pocket, extend your engine coverage, or make financing a repower a little easier.
Suzuki September Rebates: Save Up to $750!
Throughout September, Suzuki Marine is offering customer rebates on qualifying new outboards ranging from 2.5 HP all the way through 350 HP. These rebates apply whether the motor is purchased for a repower or as part of a new boat package.
Current rebate amounts are:
- DF2.5–DF15: $50
- DF20–DF30: $100
- DF40–DF60: $200
- DF70–DF140: $300
- Inline-4 DF150–DF200: $400
- V6 DF200–DF350: $500
The September rebate program runs through September 30, 2026, and applies to qualifying new, unused and unregistered Suzuki outboards. That makes this a good time to look at both a Suzuki-powered new boat and a repower for a boat you already own.
Extra $250 on Qualifying Suzuki 250 HP Motors
Suzuki is also celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with an additional $250 rebate on eligible DF250 outboards.
Unlike some promotions that replace another rebate, this offer is specifically allowed to stack with current participating Suzuki rebates and promotions. It runs through December 31, 2026.
If a 250 HP Suzuki is the right motor for your boat, there may be more than one savings program working in your favor!
Suzuki Repower Financing
If you’re happy with your current boat but the motor is ready for an upgrade, Suzuki also has a repower financing program available through Sheffield Financial. Qualified Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers can access promotional financing starting at 5.99% APR, with terms available up to 72 months, depending on the amount financed and qualification. The program runs through September 30, 2026.
This financing applies specifically to the purchase of a new Suzuki outboard engine, rather than financing the entire boat and motor package.
Mercury “Chase the Savings”
Mercury has several different benefits rolled into its current Chase the Savings promotion, which runs through September 30, 2026.
One of the biggest benefits is additional engine coverage. Qualifying 2.5 HP through 425 HP FourStroke outboards can receive two additional years of Mercury Product Protection Gold. Combined with the standard three-year limited factory warranty, that gives qualifying customers five total years of coverage.
Mercury is also offering:
- Factory rebates on qualifying 2.5–25 HP tiller outboards
- Repower financing on qualifying 40–150 HP outboards
- Financing as low as 3.99% for 36 months for qualified Tier 1 applicants through Sheffield Financial
- Potential 5.99% for 36 months for qualifying Tier 2 applicants
One nice feature of Mercury’s repower financing program is that eligible financing can include not only the engine, but associated rigging such as controls, propellers and labor, within program limits.
The rebate and financing portions of Chase the Savings are aimed at direct-sale engines and exclude motors purchased as part of a boatbuilder package, so talk with us about your specific motor before assuming which part of the program applies.
Mercury Avator: $500 Rebate + 5 Years of Coverage
If you’ve been considering electric propulsion, Mercury also has a separate promotion on the Avator 7.5e.
Qualifying Avator 7.5e kits receive a $500 retail consumer rebate along with five years of factory limited warranty on the drive. The battery and charger retain their standard two-year factory limited warranty.
This promotion runs through October 31, 2026.
Buying a Mercury-Powered Boat? There Are Package Promotions Too
Mercury also has a separate 2027 Program Year Mercury Package Promotion for qualifying Mercury-powered new boat packages.
Eligible package motors include 60 HP, 115 HP and 150–350 HP Mercury outboards, subject to the requirements of the program. Qualifying packages can be eligible for extended coverage and a retail registration rebate.
Qualifying retail sales can be completed through December 31, 2026, provided the other package-reporting and registration requirements are met.
Crestliner: Up to $8,000 Off Select Boats!
Crestliner’s current Built for This promotion offers up to $8,000 off select new 2025, 2026 and 2027 Crestliner boats at participating dealers.
The promotion is currently scheduled to run through September 29, 2026. Savings vary by model and cannot be combined with other offers, so the exact amount depends on the boat you’re considering. Because Crestliners come packaged with Mercury power, we can also check whether the Mercury program available on the engine applies to the specific boat you’re looking at.
Crestliner Military Discount
Crestliner also continues to offer its Military Program, with eligible customers able to receive up to $1,250 off select boats.
The current program covers qualifying new, unused and unregistered 2025 and 2026 Crestliner boats packaged with Mercury engines and trailers. Eligibility and documentation requirements apply, and the discount must be pre-approved.
